What would people recommend for riding in Spokane/CDA area for trails over the fourth?

In town or out of town?

In town, easy fun singletrack spinning at Riverside, exposure at high drive, and techy xc or downhills at Beacon.

If you want some nice singletrack rides a little further out.... Bernard Peak, Farragut, Lost trail, Bead Lake, Kettle Crest....

I'd offer to show you around but I'm off the bike due to a minor car accident.

The local club site has some good info, also check the trails listings here at MTBR. Capt Trips is the farragut.

Farragut

Well here is a pretty sweet figure 8, ( a round of GOF) It is a total of 42 miles if you do the figure 8, the Bernard Climb / downhill is 20, the HellaBill Park loop is 15, and throw another 4 or so in for the Scout trail connector between Farragut and Bernard.
You can do them as solo's or the full figure model. You also can climb Bernard up Scout Trail and keep it singletrack all the way to the top, then reverse it back down, The map shows taking the forestservice road up, singletrack down. This is a very great ride. If your with folks that may not want the 2500 ft climb, the hellabill on the north side is 98 percent singletrack, and all rollercoasters, with a nice drop down to the shoreline for a water edge root and rock fest..
