Well, I'me 5'6'' and rocked an '05 A-line for a while, it was a size small, I'de fit on a medium but wouldent advise anyone shorter than me to buy one unless they felt comfortable on taller bikes. They actually have an extra small sized frame as well. I tried that, did'nt like it, too small for me.
If your gonna buy one in the small or extra small, the rear tire has a tendancy to smack the seat when compressed even with the shock adjusted to my weight specs and hitting less than 'extreme' huck/drops. Its just a minor flaw, only one I've found, the most damage that it could do is you may have to buy one or two new seats a year if your dropping often.
