I want to run my old Maxxis High Roller and Mobster on my UST 819 rims. Are there any problems I might have? I know the width is OK, I'm just wondering how they'll seat up and stay on the rim.

This will be my rim/tire choice for Downieville. It worked great before on my old 317s, but I still pinch flatted sometimes.

Just take off the valve, put a tube and you are good to go.

I want to run the Maxxis w/o tubes. I don't want to have more pinch flats again.

So, what I'm wondering is will these Maxxis DH tires hold on well to the 819s set up as a UST w/o tubes?

Not as much as a true UST tire, results vary a lot with DIY tubeless setups...

No. They can not be as secure as UST tires.
