Just got a Nomad built up with a Fox 36 and DHX 5.0 Air. Wanted to get fork, shock or just general setup tips from current Nomad riders. What has work and what has not work for you setup-wise (obviously include the type of riding you do). My Nomand is being used as a all purpose trail bike.

Specific question, SC setup guide says, for example "10 Ret". I assume this is clicks (or turns depending on what it is talking about) but is it from full in or full out?

Thanks, time to go ride...

Returns would be from full in...is the Fox 36 a Vanilla or Talas? Personally I'd start with SC's recommendations and make incremental changes from there until you get what you want.

Can't help you with that combo...yet...I still want to try a DHX Air, just put on a DHX 5.0 coil (from a Float R) to matchup better with the Van36RC2 up front. With the Float I ran air pressure at the SC recommended pressure or a bit higher depending on terrain. I've only had limited time on the DHX, but started with SC's numbers and tweaking from there...so far so good.

I can tell you that the SC tech person I spoke with advises leaving the DHX Air ProPedal fully open on the Nomad and riding it like that. I've done just that and have been totally satisfied with the bike's climbing. I keep meaning to try upping the ProPedal but always for get to on the trail. :)

By fully open I assume you mean fully CCW.

nomad

on the 36 talas I run 58 psi. 6 clicks out from slow rebound ,and high speed comp. fast and low speed comp. slow. this gives me about 1inch sag. with the dhx air I ride 210 psi in main. 130 in boost. 6 or 8 out from slow rebound . bottom out all the way out ,:) :) .no propedal needed but will turn it up on some climbs 7 clicks. with this set up i have 5/8 inch sag . i wiegh 185+ with gear. with this set up the bike rides plush and still rides up hill well. the trick for me was geting it set up for rock gardens hope this helps anybody else with similar weight lets hear your set up. i ride aggressive cross country nothing bigger then 3 foot drops ie noble ,LRC. problem with nomad is all I do Is ride.
