My front Derailleur is hitting my rear triangle. I have tried an xtr as well as deore and both hit. EEEPP. Am I missing something? 36 and 32t front sprockets on SLX cranks.

You're using the wrong kind of FD. The Nomad2s use low-clamp, top-swing FDs. Whoever assembled your expensive bike looks like they didn't know what they were doing.:nono:

Hopefully the rest of your bike is put together correctly.

Yup, I tired to run a high clamp x9 on my nomad. Only low clamp shimano is recommended by SC, no saint. I'm running an x7 so you can run low clamp sram but the cable bolt will be tough to access. Your frame is ruined, sell it to me!

Yeah we burned the rear triangle last night and ordered a new one.

What kind of front derailleur do I need?

The Nomad requires a 34.9mm top swing (low clamp) top pull front derailleur. Unfortunately due to some cable routing differences, SRAM front derailleurs will not work. Use any of the shimano models except Saint, and you will be fine.
