Walt flexes and grunts going downhill?
This is/was to be my first Quad - maybe we just use Elvota's Gnardruple as the course and pick the time to meet?

Just stay up-wind and you'll be okay.

Weren't you on the original Team Walt-less's 24hrOP team?
Bummer Walt can't make it...I agree with Randy. Let's choose a time and a route and do it.

Oh wow! good memory. I completely forgot about that.
Keep the original time and route...lots of people already committed.

Have whip, will travel. (Meaning, keep pedaling... because I'll be at the Back of The Bus with the whip...)

But I don't share my beer. :nono:

The ride isn't nuked. If you want to show up and ride, show up and ride!
YEAH what she said!!!!!! I'm still planning on showing to ride
I can't make that date but I plan on riding it the week before. Have fun
btw - here is a GPX file of Elvota's Gnardruple Bypass ride from a few weeks ago.

Sure wish I could photograph and do write-ups as well as he does...

are you sure this includes Tom's Thumb? it appears to go up and down Windgate the same way.

Sorry, I grabbed the regular Quad by mistake - it is fixed now, same link.

yeah ok, i see the differences. Elvota started at the TH, skipped Ringtail, and took the shorter\steeper route past the Bell split on the return instead of Coachwhip -- in addition to the known changes on Tom's Thumb and Sonoran.

So...since Walt decided to take De to a swim meet, and I'm the only other person to do all 3 years...

Date: 1-31
Time: 8:30 am FIP (Feet In Pedals...meaning start riding. It's a long day; be on time)
Where: Stage at the east end of the Basha's parking lot on the SW corner of Bell Rd. and Thompson Peak Parkway in NE Scottsdale. Park as far from the Bashas as possible.

See y'all in a few weeks.

I'll be riding the Quad.

So everyone is aware, halfway up to Windgate is the "Tom's Thumb" option. You can take it, if you want extra suffering, or, you can continue up to Windgate. Having completed the Quad last year, and since I hate hike-a-bike, I will skip that option and do the regular route.
