I think (not positive) that to make anything carbon you have to have a mold. To the best of my logic it would be very un-cost affective to create a new mold for every frame. As opposed to a steel or titanium frame where the builder can manipulate the metal with more ease.

Scott and (presumably) Ibis are stock models only - no custom option as the OP was referring to. Trek Fuel is obviously another stock carbon FS option.Rumpfy said:

cumpton does REAL custom carbon hardtails (similar to Calfee or Parlee road bikes)

If you have a lot of $ I would call Calfee. You might even be able to get some bamboo on there too.

I thought you were just looking for something a wee bit outside the norm.
You could try asking Trimble Cycles. They're plenty odd in look and design. Not sure if they will do custom work. Sycip on a small scale does some carbon work...might be able to do the custom al. work too.

there is/was a guy named alex ( i think) who made custom carbon FS stuff. buffalo composite designs. some cool looking, and apparantly well made and good riding stuff. website no longer around. not sure if he is still doing it.
he usd to hang around on the ridemonkey forums, i think. may be able to page him there.
do a search for the inedible. it's his big bike full susser. a few folks over there have them.
