Hia peeps,
Can anyone who's experience of the Nixon Super comment on my lickle problem?
I've just fitted these new puppies and find that the fork refuses to move when in the upright position (pushing on the bars) but if flipped upside down (pushing on the legs) they gradually open up and begin moving again.
Flipping the bike back the right way up will then see the movement gradually reduce until they're lock-out and rigid again.
The service doco, troubleshooting section indicates such a problem could be;
a) tight bushings - resize or replace
b) hydraulic lock out - replace rebound assembly
c) damper oil volume - check oil level, replace rebound assembly
d) fork alignment - inspect, call cust servs
Might things loosen up if I take her for a spin or will I damage the internals?
This is my first air fork and I've followed the instructions for inflating (balancing both chambers by depressing the IT lever) and if I recall deflating the shock see's the fork extend.
I've heard of these forks loosing travel but nothing of this particular issue.
Any ideas 'cos I'm confused?
PS: bought 'em in the USA as a deal with my new frame (Turner, 5Spot) so sending 'em back means delays in ride time...
