It took a while and countless emails back and forth with Ethan at Maverick, but I finally got my Air 9 dialed in with a DUC32. I've been riding a Trek 69er SS for a while and the DUC is hands down my favorite of all the 29er forks I have tried.

At first I didn't think it would work on the frame because my stack height is only 120mm and the low crown requires a minimum of 130mm (which might explain why I was unable to find any threads on MTBR with pics from people who've tried it) but with the help of a 7mm Ventana/King crown race underneath and a 5mm spacer on top, I was able to get to the stack height I needed. Initially though I tried an SC32 but that just wasn't the same, and I was lucky enough to find someone locally willing to swap his DUC for my SC essentially straight up, so I traded and then had Ethan dial it in as closely to the one on my Trek as he could.

First ride on it tomorrow, can't wait to see how it feels. To me it just looks *right*, I can say that much. Thanks for your patience and all your help Ethan! And sorry about the quality of the pics, might try taking some better ones later on.

other than that eye-wrenching alignment on the seatpost install.

Did you have Ethan build out your DUC with an IFP like your brown one has?
If you and Banks are trying to tell me something about my seatpost, please enlighten me. My clamp is facing the right way and I couldn't care less which way the logo reads. As far as your other question, all I did was ask Ethan to set it up like the one on my Trek. He'll have to reply with the technical term, sorry.

Gotcha. I could have sworn the post was symetrical structurally, so after Banks said something, I went and checked it over so closely but couldn't find anything different front to back, so he had me scratching my head. But I guess you're right, if the logo went the other way, it would at least line up with "Maverick" on my fork....

Well, it's lite'r when installed with the logo reading top-bottom.
