Waste of time alert! Waste of time alert!! Waste of time alert!!!
You have been forewarned!
Do not proceed if you are sensitive to your time being completely wasted!

MTBR is such an awesome place! Not only is it fun and full of camaraderie, it is filled with people who are fountains of knowledge and information...but, it is also a great place for inspiration!

Back Story: In the past few days, I have been called a "weirdo" by someone who goes by Al...not to be confused with Weird Al (I am the weirdo, the poster was Al)...

Most recently, my integrity was called into question, claiming that I have an "axe to grind", "resent Niner", "lack integrity" and am a "biased", "anti-Niner shill" who has "intellectual dishonestly", "situational hypocrisy" and a "hidden agenda". Also, that I lie to people and "subject" them "to an agenda", "propaganda" and a "stream of negative comments" on "products" I "have limited or no experience with" and am "knowingly engaging in deceptive arguments". Also, that I am "prolific", lessen "the value of the forums", and "attempt to damage those companies in the forums". Last, but not least, that I am narcissistic and my posting in these forums is just a "petty game"...

And I thought being called a weirdo and people posting, telling me to "get out and ride" was funny and ironic...good thing I have a sense of humor... :D

So, after being inspired, I figured for my 1,000th Post, it should be a good one, a memorable one, an instant classic, a tour-de-force...but...since I couldn't come up with any of that, you are left with this:

In order to build a bridge and get over it, I felt my emotions and response would be best described...in a song...

This is a tribute to Weird Al (it's all I could come up with on such short notice).
It is dedicated to the other Al, Master B and CS (who awesomely has my website...all-business-like...and has made me reconsider...)...Enjoy...or not...

Title: Don't You Want One?

(Synth bass line...)

You were working on some concepts in the bicycle world
When you broke through

They looked you up
They checked you out
They gave you a chance
You offered something new

Now five years later on you've got nice bikes in your fleet
Success is from the good work you do
But don't forget those who put you where you are now
They can put you back down, too

Don't,
Don't you want one?
You know I don't believe you
When you say that you don't need one

No,
Some don't want one
I know you can't believe it
When you hear that they don't need one

It's not too late to find
I know you hope they'll change their mind

You'd like them to choose Niner, so they won't be sorry

Don't you want a Niner?
Don't you want one, oh?...
Don't you want a Niner?
Don't you want one, oh?...

I was looking at some specs on other 29ers,
That much is true.
But even then I thought I'd find a much better deal
Either with or without you
The five years you have had have seen some change in this place
There is so much new
Now I think it's time I take a much closer look
I guess it's just what I must do

Don't,
Don't you want one?
You know I don't believe you
When you say that you don't need one

Yes
I may want one
I know you can't believe it
When you hear that I may buy one

It's not too late to find
That I might have changed my mind

I just might choose a Niner, so I won't be sorry

I'm open to a Niner!
I may want one, oh!...
I may want a Niner!
I may want one, oh!...

(Synth bass line...)

I now want a Niner!
I now want one, oh!...
I now want a Niner!
I now want two, oh!...

FWIW, FYI, I do plan on purchasing a Niner...style and personality! You heard it here first! Maybe the new AMP9...or A9C with matching Reba...

For more wasted time and forced reading...

You sure know how to take the high road. ;)

Maybe when you buy that Niner they will let you post pictures of it on the domain they registered in your honor.
