I was out on friday trying to ride in the downpour we had in PA and took a spill in a rock garden. When I got home and cleaned up the bike I noticed there is a nick in the stanchion of my Manitou Nixon elite fork. Its about 90mm into the travel. I'm wondering what I have to do now? Can I just sand it down and repair it using superglue?

This is a coil fork and the scratch in on the coil side, does this small abrasion even matter?

Thanks

Do a search

This forum has numerous threads about repairing stanchion scratches. It's basically ultra-fine sandpaper and clear nail polish. You'll be fine, just do a search on "stanchion scratch".
