Strangely enough even though it's only an hour from me I haven't ridden there. I think I have a pretty good feel for the place from all the chatter over the years but I'd like to see some maps. Where are they posted? I know the race course map won't be up until this weekend at best though.

For sure, now that I know who you daughter is will be easy to spot you

Our only female finished 5th on only her 4th time on a trail, my son after being top 10 most of the JV race fell on the last lap and finished 12th, our sophomores finished 16th and 21st. I was wearing a green jacket and a camera on hand.

Based on the web site the next one is on Stewart Forest 5/11.

I'm the one with the tailgate always open so I can reach the toolbox in the khaki Subaru fixing all the kids bikes. When I'm not wrenching on bikes I'm toolin' around on my fatbike.

Stewart it is, the main page had Williams Lake up until the other day. Too bad it won't be at Williams Lake since it has limited access and you get to ride through caves.

Yes, she's my son's girlfriend and got into this because of him. We're very proud of her and is amazing how fast she's getting the mountain biking thing, lots of room for improvement but she's a trooper.

I'm the one with the tailgate always open so I can reach the toolbox in the khaki Subaru fixing all the kids bikes. When I'm not wrenching on bikes I'm toolin' around on my fatbike.

I drive a gold Explorer with the bikes on the inside or on a hitch rack, we set up a tent with a b.i.k.e.-Syracuse banner, feel free to stop by and ask for Victor.

That's my daughter standing next to Sarah. She rode in the last half mile on a rear flat. Shouldn't happen again, her new tire sponsor Continental is hooking her up.

We're getting closer. Kid is stoked, conditions are getting better by the minute and at the moment the weather looks like it's gonna cooperate for Sunday. Lets just hope for not much precip between now and then. Anybody going to be out on Saturday to check out the course?

The race was a mud fest on a sunny day, plenty of good racing all around the 7mi course.

Pleasure finally meeting you too! Thanks for the pics of my daughter above. Heh, funny when I look at them and realize she was the only kid there wearing shin pads, she was also one of the few that didn't draw blood when the pedals came back to bite her in those sooooooper muddy stretches. I think that persistence and consistency have been worth the effort. She was 3rd the first two races and second this time. As long as she finishes the final she will end up first in points for freshman/sophomore girls. She is so stoked

On to the state finals on 6/1. Here's to hoping for a dry day! :thumbsup:
