A group of us 9 unicyclists lobbied Nextie to make a hooked version are there 36 inch carbon rim, since the hookless version is designed for a tubeless set up, but there are no tubeless 36er tires in existence. They agreed to make a hookless version if we could get a minimum of nine Rim orders, which we did. They also offered a 10% discount bringing the cost of each Rim down to about $358, plus shipping. I have already submitted all nine orders from my fellow unicyclists, but if any of you want to get in on this deal, PM me for more info.

Cheers,
Terry

Terry, I had pretty good luck getting wire bead tires to run tubeless on a 36" rim, but I needed a high pressure "automotive" system to pop the bead.

How about a Kevlar bead tire so you can set up tubeless more easily.

I've considered building another 36er Muni, but I wish Schlumph would design a hub that downshifts so you could use a big wheel for tech and climbing.
