Hello!
My first time to the forum and will be my first year biking. I've ridden about everything with a motor but its time to take it to the next level.

One major question that I cant find in the book and I dont want to just go down and start tearing the bike apart and breaking something..

I am purchasing a bike rack for the truck and need to drop the front tire off of my RZ one fourty 5. I was told by the dealer that mine was a lil different because it had the "through axle". First off I have no idea what that is or why its any different but how do I remove it? Is it a pain?

Thanks and I'm sure more questions to come!

Glad you non motor folks started a forum!

According to the specs it has a 15mm thru axle. It's not that big a deal to remove and reinstall it, as seen here: http://www.bike-manual.com/brands/trek/om/mountain/thru_axle.html

And there are adapters like this one that will convert a standard truck rack to work with your type of axle: http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/RA279Z00-Hurricane+Components+15Mm+Rack+Adapter.aspx
