Too funny, I guess we were all clueless at one time. It's funnywhat you take for granted, someone was asking me out the NUT recently, not knowing the letters stood for North Umpqua Trail.
Welcome to Oregon, and by all means, if you haven't done so yet, take a weekday off work and ride the MRT. It's worth a sick day, and you'll miss the weekend hiker traffic!
Cr*p. You guys gave him the code without testing him first!
See the idea is to keep the best trails secret, hence the TLAs (three-letter acronyms) like MRT, LRT, WRT ... ;-) Hint: many of the trails around here follow rivers and are named after them. WRT is the Wilson River Trail, in the Tillamook Forest. LRT is the Lewis River Trail, in SW Washington. And of course these guys have already spilled the beans about the MRT.
Now remember to speak in code when outsiders are present ... from now on.
