just started riding on dirt again after 10 or so years off the bike. some of the guys i ride with are decent riders on newer bikes..my questions is how will my GT (pic below) compare with some of the newer full suspension bikes out there? will i get more out a $1000 full suspension bike? after years off the bike i feel like im new to all this.

wow.. Spinergy wheels.... been a long time since i've seen a set of those! I have no idea how much that bike weighs but the industry has made many advances in the last 10 years. A good FS bike will cost more than $1000 though. Nothing wrong with a HT 29'er if you were willing to think of a different route.

Cool bike. I would ride it, just because of the novelty of it.
