the wheelset is worth around $800... i only paid $400, that is the price of the rear hub alone...Lucky13 said:

oh, and apparently, even if you get a flat in the middle on a run, the tire will stay on so you can finish (might dent the hell out of your rims, but you can still finish)

I'm with SMT, if you're gonna build up a nice bike and post a million threads on it (fine by me because I am thinking of building up a DB ) atleast you're not having your mommy and daddy buy it for you!
And you should apply for the scud "sponsorship" at Soul Cycles if you aren't already. It will save you quite a bit of money, I used excel and came out with a $1,900 build, mainly becase I put in what I've seen 2 or 3 used DB's go for. Now I just need to find one for sale.

And FYI, Soul Cycles will not be booting or not allowing people under 18, someone has an email they posted from him saying they are just getting rid of some "trouble makers" and that anyone whose in it or applying and is under 18 will be fine. i'm gonna go look at the page right now!
Scud sponsorship? Where do I sign up? Just one picture of my "rig" should prove I'm qualified. Most of the frame is still OEM, but other parts came from all over- even the trash, in the case of some thumb shifters I mounted for the front der and shock lockout.

- Involvement In A College Level Cycling Team
- Community Involvement
- Geographic Location (Canadian And US Riders May Only Apply)
- Product Interest (Freeride, 4X, Trials etc.)
- Group/Team Involvement

Yeah I saw that but I think they may be trying to keep younger kids from joining to keep the numbers down a bit more. I'd still apply, I'd bet you would be accepted. I think Soul Cycles #2 has more info and where chad (works for Soul and does all the e-mail returns, etc) talked about the so-called criteria.JBsoxB said:
