It may help if you were a little more specific. Why do you need a new wheel, is it just because you dont like or is it damaged? Can it be rebuilt?

What type of riding, how heavy are you etc?
I think that’s irrelevant. I’m only asking if anyone has any experience and suggestion for new wheelset.
My rim is bended and according to local LBS it should be replaced. I weight about 175lb and ride hard trails with lots of rocks. I’m looking for something light but durable.
The Mavic Cross Ride are great wheels - the pair at Performance is usually under $200 - not the lightest of wheels but with lightweight tires it'll be a good combination

Questions are relevant and helpful because there are lots of options out there. There are lots of options because they are for different purposes. If you want good help you need to give information

Lighter people, people who ride smoothly, people who ride smooth trails can get away with lighter and narrower rims, lighter spokes, and even less spokes per wheel. On the other hand heavier people, people who ride hard, and people who ride rough trails are usually better suited with wider and tougher rims, and possibly higher spoke count wheels. There are plenty of options in between those two extremes as well.

But... I think the biggest question is budget. The stock hubs and rims on the Pro29 are both entry-level and heavy, so a new wheelset could be a big upgrade in performance and durability, but the best option depend on your budget and your answers to the other questions.

Check out Jenson and Pricepoint both have some afforable options.
http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/WH400G00-Shimano+M525+Disc+Mavic+A317+29Er+Wheels.aspx - good entry level wheels

http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/WH308A08-Sun+Ringle+Highrider+29Er+Disc+Wheelset.aspx - this one has wider but heavier rims that are well known for their toughness. I can't say anything about the hubs because I simply don't enough about them, but if the reviews look good then these could be a good deal

http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/15337-365_SHIWT6-3-Parts-429-29er-Parts/Shimano-XT-M756-w_-WTB-SpeedDisc--29er-Trail-Wheelset.htm - pretty good hubs for the price, medium width rim. All around good choice

But for a little more (still less than $300 shipped) you could also get some handbuilt wheels with XT hubs and fairly nice rims (I like the WTB LaserDiscs, tough and wide, not too heavy). Check out Universal Cycles custom wheel builder. There are also lots of other good wheelbuilders, even local shops. Handbuilt will get you better quality wheels that should last longer and stay true longer

Because you provided so much info to help us know what to suggest... I suggest you get some round ones.
Thanks a lot! Great info. I want to get something good but not too expensive, say in 200-250 range. I'll check reviews.

You're welcome.

Here's two other options as well:
machine-built wheelset with Deore hubs and WTD DDFR rims for $150
handbuilt XT hubs and DDXC rims for $200
Or this 29er wheelset with DT Swiss 340 hubs and 7.1d rims?

Edit:
Opps didn't notice budget. How about these?
