Hello everyone. Just recently purchased a Giant Fathom 3. Bike was making a few noises, fixed them all except one. When turning hard, left or right, there is a scraping sound coming from the rear wheel. I removed the rear rotor but this had no effect on the sound. It does it whether I'm peddling or not.

Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to fix the problem rather then just take the bike back. In case it happens to the replacement as well.

Did you buy it new? if so, do take it back for a fix.

I agree w/fredcook. Have the shop take a look.

Frames and wheels sometimes will flex enough for a tire to rub the frame under hard cornering. Does the noise sound like it could be rubber against aluminum?
