Hey there! Finally scored an ECR frame and fork set. Ive been out of the bike game for about a decade, and really behind on the tech these days. I have a frame, stock fork, custom made boost fork, PNW Coast dropper, and a rear rack!!!

I am looking for all other major components. Do you have any recommendations on a dirt cheap budget? Anyone have some leftover parts laying about i can buy? I am all for quality parts, but this initial push to get back to riding and shed some pounds will need to start on the ultra cheap.

Ill be riding the Colorado Front range for the most part, if it makes the suggestions more specific. Also, i plan to try and get 2 sets of wheels, one for riding to work and bar hopping, one for 29+ for mountain fun, so i could

Thank you for any and all suggestions you may have. -Joe

I have the SX Eagle derailleur, shifter, and cassette that I took off my Wednesday. They’re brand new, never ridden. DM your address and they’re yours, just do someone else a favor in return if you get the chance to.

Other than that, I wouldn’t skimp on your wheels. Get some good quality ones that will last. Things like handlebars, stems, grips, etc can be found on Amazon for cheap. That stuff will get you rolling and you can upgrade later.

The Brand X wheelset is about $127 right now. 28mm internal diameter should be okay for plus tires and it has sealed bearing hubs & optional end caps for QR dropouts on some Surly forks.
