I'm just looking into the idea of a 29er. I've riden one once. I liked it. I know of a few companies that make 29ers; Orbea, Niner bikes, Salsa. But who else makes frames/bikes/bike parts of 29ers?

Better yet go check out The MTBR 29er Shootout that was just put up this last weekend, they've got 8 really nice 29er FS bikes in there. Personally I'm in love w/ the Niner R.I.P. 9, that's my wishlist bike right now.
