Looking around at all the different crank options and trying to pick a set that will survive next race season. Eagle X1 carbons and XTR's
didn't survive last season. Riding Stylo carbons to finish out, but I can certainly feel them stressing and flexing. I know eeWings would do the trick, just a tad spendy for my blood.
Thinking:
A) Truvativ Descendant carbon cranks
B) Race Face Atlas 7075 Aluminum

I had X01s that lasted 3 months. I'll never buy carbon cranks again. Was gonna get GX, but was in a pinch and my only option was RaceFace Atlas. Honestly haven't noticed a single difference between them and my X01s aside from price. Highly recommended, and that's one component I really don't see a reason to invest in carbon (along with handlebars).

I've got Atlas on one bike and GX Al on another, can't tell any difference. I won't run carbon as I use flat pedals and they seem to detach the pedal threads from carbon crank arms too easily.

I too would like a set of eeWings but the price is ridiculous.
