When I first saw the Bianchi San Jose I really wanted one.... But while I was on the fence, my bud said he had a brand new Fuji cross frame for a price that I could not pass.... So.... She is light too! I scored a new old stock DA 9 speed crank fer nill! and a real nice new Bonti race lite 46cm bar and 10cm stem. I got a total of 150.00 into it with mostly new crap except for the wheels!
A couple of dicoveries I had during the few weeks to took to locate all the parts.

Half links work real well. I can hit every other combo! I started with 42/18 that worked great without the half link. But I wanted more of a road gear so I went with 42/16 and a half link! Perfect chain tention!

Cross forks are hard to come by on the cheep. So you can use a standard MTB fork with a groovy adapter made by Mavic. It looks like a brake arch but it has 2 brake studs located in just the right spot for a 700C.

Went out on a maden voyage on deer day! Fits like a glove!

I've seen those on the Mavic site, but not in any shops. Where did you pick it up from & was it very pricey?

My LBS had to order it. They retail for like 25.00 or 30.00 each
