Hey all... wanted to let you know of a new bike shop in Richmond Hill. Shop is called Evolution Cycles and its run by Mike Horlick. Mike has been running a shop in Newmarket for 8 years and is finally going solo. I am also involved in the shop, and chances are you will see me wrenching away in the back. Won't get to detailed here but if you want have a look at the website, or come by the shop.

It's not perfect yet but we are updating it as fast as we can

Thanks

I have a question about the logo: what is it?

I am "the suck" at seeing things in clouds but is it a guy on a TT bike?

going to say yes... no... maybe... a TT bike. we did try for a mtb look but it looked better this way.
we are starting from scratch and did the best we could with what we had.
Any plans for adding lines beyond Norco? Some boutiquey stuff perhaps?
Is this the Bikesport store re-branded? Same staff?

Are you guys going to carry XC skis as well?

Looking forward to dropping in sometime soon, I'm just around the corner...

Nothing to crazy in the first year, Misfit Psycles looks promising, Giant, Gary Fisher, Norco.
Would like to keep it simple and help support a select few. I know its nice to have options but sometimes it's overwhelming. We have contacted other but because of holidays the application process has been slow. Things should start to come together by Feb
Mike and I have been a part of Bikesports Newmarket yes, but no nothing to do with Bikesports. It’s been a great bike shop for 12 years, we hope to make it a better shop for many more

XC skis, no not this year. Maybe in the future

cool, best of luck
I was just thinking the same thing. There is a new one opening up in my neck of the woods this spring. Shows some positive growth in the sport.
thanks!
Can you guys give me a deal on frames.................................lol.
Possibly NINER

There is a good possibility that the shop will carry NINER brand bikes. These guys are experts in fabrication of frames for the 29" crowd. Their new Air 9 Carbon frame is super sweet.

That's great news, any chance you guys would carry Redline bikes?
That Air9 is sick but for that kind of money, I need to see someone hit it with a hammer before I'm sold on the technology. :D

I had another idea for a line (take the idea FWIW): for whatever reason, there aren't many Felt dealers in the GTA and I can't see any reason why not.
You asked for it...

garage monster... check out this link if you are afraid of using carbon as a frame material for a bike:
:eekster:
snake oil show... run a force simulation on solid works and then we are talking...

Snake Oil

Perhaps it would lend a little more credibility if they then mounted it to a bike and used it for the next month in local races without failure. I think the demo was just to make a point that carbon isn't as fragile as most people are lead to believe.
