New Shimano 8 speed triggers?

I noticed this at a local shop and thought some of you 8 speeders finding it difficult to find new shifters might be interested. Shimano has what looks like a new XT level 8 speed trigger unit. The color sheme is different but its clearly just a modern XT pod with 8 speed indexing. Its marketed as a flat handle bar road bike part. The only catch is the front derailleur pod is indexed for a road derailleur pull which is different so its no good on a MTB. Just make sure to get the rear one ;).
