Hey guys, I'm 6foot 285lbs. Sunday I'm going to be picking my new bike, but im having a tough time deciding what bike to get. This will be my first bike in 15 years. I have narrowed it down to 2 bikes that really feel good to ride. I just need some help deciding what is the better buy for my dollar.

the 2 bikes i have choosen.
Trek 4500
Giant Yukon

I have been to multiple local bike shops with diffrent opinions in each so i need help with what bike has the better parts for the money, these 2 bikes bassicly cost the same give or take a few bucks.

heres the trek 4500 link http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/mountain_hardtail/4_series/4500/

heres the giant yukon http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-au/bikes/mountain/1152/28949/

any help guys would be awesome.

I think the Trek will be a better bike overall, though it doesn't have disc brakes. If you live in a drier environment, this won't be a big deal as the disc brakes on the Giant are not that great. But if you ride in the wet, the disc brakes would be nice.

Either bike will likely require a fork spring upgrade, make sure and have the dealer install an X-Firm spring

I live in California, so its not to wet out here. So my bike shop can instal a harder spring on the stock shocks that come with the bike, does the spring cost extra? never reaserched the price on the springs.
