So some folks here may remember seeing pics of my broken-in-two Curtlo a month or so back. Shortly replaced with a RM Flow. Nice ride, but..... Not really what I wanted. Buyers remorse. Planned on a new custom in the fall, but found this frame at a great deal. Exactly what I wanted! *Slightly* used (by the maker) frame built up as a demo model. Built up quickly after dropoff by the Brown Santa yesterday, I snuck out for a quick late afternoon ride before heading to work. (Pics at the bottom)
Side shot. Lotsa' post, nice and roomy for me, and tons of seat dropping capability for those times when deemed useful. Odd size 30.2 post. Going to swap to a shim with a 27.2 post; I like having the same size post on all my bikes. For ease of cannibalization if needed.
A loose rear end. This is with a 2.35 Kenda. I can get a 2.5/6 in depending on the make. Got some 2.4 Panaracer Fir FR meats that have room to spare, and a Maxxis Mobster 2.5 on the way.
Nice beefy stays, disc bracing, and Breezer dropouts. I'm a sucker for those. Yeah, the QR lever is on the disc side. I like it that way on the back end for some odd reason. Probably because of the funky way I do my rear mech cabling, it's easiest for me this way.
Gussets! No more headtube rippage for me, I hope. The cables running through work quite well, and give a nifty-neato-sano look. Only downside is I prefer full housing all around, and the shift housing stops are stops, not guides. If Peyto say s'ok, I'll Dremel them open and ditch the zip tie look. So unchic. Nice open rear brake guides.
