As a bike shop owner and mechanic I've been working on a Park stand for about 7 years now...never even thought about getting anything else. But I recently bought a new one by Minoura. I wanted one for at home and on the road, one that I can fold up and throw in the back of my truck. I think I was just in the mood for something new! It's still in the mail...anyone use this stand or one like it? Pros & Cons?

I had one similar, made by Minoura and sold by Performance under the Spin Doctor name ("Essential"). The difference was that it supported the bike along the down tube and bottom bracket instead of the fork and bottom bracket as the one you're showing.

For $40, it did the trick. It wasn't very stable, nor was it compact, but it was lightweight making it portable. I liked it for what it was (pretty much knew its limitations when I bought it), but I'm happy to have a real stand to use instead.
