ok, heres the deal,
I am getting new race wheels, and am either getting 05' crossmax Sl disc OR DT 240s disc hubs laced to DT XR4.1D rims and DT aerolite spokes with an eclipse tubeless kit.
out of the two which would you choose ?

Out of those two.. I would go for the DT. Just becuase, I have heard about what happens if something actually does go wrong with the Mavics..

These are both prebuilt, right?

hmmm. If you are specifically going to run Tubeless rubber and not just a bit of goop and normal tyres I would suggest the Xmax (As much as I am not one for that sort of thing) but otherwise go for the 240s wheel set.

Ideally, it is better to build your own IMHO or get them built!

In that case....

Have you considered Sapim CX ray spokes? Super pricey, and not all that lighter then the DT's.. but I believe they are stronger/stiffer(?).

They're the same spoke basically. I have a set of King/Aero/4.1Ds and they're holding up fine.

DT. Same or better performance out of standard components. You can easily replace spokes, hub, rim if it ever breaks.

Even better - get a good builder (plenty of references around) hand build it for you, unless you have a screaming deal.
