Here is my newly built Surly Pugsley.

Tried saving money on some things by reusing from other projects, but all in all I am pretty happy with the ride.

Sram x.7
BB 5
RaceFace Diabolus
Cane Creek 100
Crank Bros Candy SL
DMR Sealed Hubs
KMC x9sl ti gold chain

Every winter I dream of building a Pugs. There must be some connection there...
Terrific! Man, every time I see one I try to somehow justify building one...

Enjoy!

PF
and everytime i see one i get way more excited about finishing mine! should be the end of the week when i get it done and snow is in the forecast (i think my wife is getting me tire for xmas). dig the pdw grips. have you seen their new rack? heavy, but nice. i live in Portland and see the PDW booth from time to time.
thanks for posting and have fun!
Thanks, yeah i have looked at the PDW racks. I was wondering if they would be compatible with Disc and the Pug. Do you have any idea?

well, i think you could mount it the same way people have mounted the nice rack to the pug. i believe they shift it so that one of the 'legs' of the rack is mounted to the inside of the rack-mount on the seatstay and the other is on the outside of the seatstay. like this: https://flic.kr/p/2785454019
the nice rack has extending 'legs' however, so that might be why it works. from the looks of the photos, the pdw rack has pretty long 'arms' (where it connects at the top of the seatstays) that look similar to the nice rack. so i am thinking that height maybe the issue, but i could be very wrong.
i am looking at the omm red rock rack to put on my pugs, since it is somewhat inexpensive, light, and stout. my pug is already going to weigh a ton, so I am going to steer away from the nice rack this time (have one on my LHT, a great rack).
That looks awesome. A gold CK headset would match perfectly. How far can you wheelie in the snow?
