Picked up this used frame for $150 last Sunday. Have really wanted a 140mm steel hardtail for some time now - couldn't pass up this deal. Built it out of parts off my old Stumpjumper

Frame: 18" On One Inbred
Fork: Fox Float RLC (140mm)
Wheels: Mavic Crossrides
Tires: Specialized Eskar (F), IRC Mibro (R)
Shifter/RD: SRAM X.9 (1x9)
Cranks: Truvativ Blaze, BBG bash
Pedals: Wellgo MG-1s
Brakes: BB7s 185/160 w/SD7 levers
Cassette/Chain: XT
Bar: Syncros Bulk 700mm, 30mm rise
Stem: Holzfeller 40mm
Post: Ritchey
Saddle: Nashbar race

Sits at 27lbs or so. Still need to devise some sort of chain guide, and wrap the chainstay. New rear tire would be a good idea and a saddle that's less of an ass hatchet would be nice too. Don't know how well the wheels will hold up, but we'll find out.

Rides like a dream. I haven't been on a hardtail in 2 years or so, and they were always aluminum. Have been riding a 6" fully since, but the steel does seem more compliant. With the stem/bar combo the riding position is super close to my Chumba w/Lyrik. Fun as hell, and crazy whippable. Head angle sits at 67ish with the 140 fork. BB height is a dash over 13".
