i have just got my first real mountain bike. It is a trek 4400 and i was wondering whether this would be ok to do 3-4 ft drop offs and mabye some small jumps.
Frame should do fine. Fork will probably hold up ok as long as you're landing right. Rims probably won't last you too long though.

cool

Hey, nice bike.
As everyone else said, frame should be fine. my 4500 has taken some pretty sick stuff. The wheelset needs to be replaced anyway (if your planning to go with disk, and in my opinion, they bottleneck the bikes performance in a way.) All the parts are well made for the most part, but as I found, you might need to tighten the crank arm bolts here and there, if your doing some drops. As well as spoke tension, and your hubs. Other then that, you should just have a lot of fun on your new ride.
