and even though a 29 tire might physically fit, just think about what happens the moment you bottom the suspension out by deftly planting the lower crown onto the tire. Hey, look ma, I can fly!
Hence the remark

just a little reduction of travel required.

It will more than physically fit, it will fit with about 3.5" of space with sag! Reduce the travel after sag to less than that and you are sorted.#

They may be $600 to you but they will be £600 in the UK or $1200, stop moaning!

How much do you think the new RS will come in at. And how may 29er forks would you take jumping?

Thats where the "travel limiting stop" (or bit of plastic rod) comes in :D

If you search the forum, there is some info on limiting the stroke of the forks, although it will take a little bit of fettling*

Too much fettling than I'm prepared to attempt. I like that word, thanks.

If the new 29er Reba is anything like RS's other line of forks, they'll probably have 2 or three different models of 29 Reba with different features. Retail would probably be similar to the 26 Reba range - $350 +?

I'm fully expecting the high-end Reba's to cost what we're paying for Manitou Skarebs and Minute's, which is 650-750 Euro. And if the Motion Control gets the thumbs-up, why not? 32mm Bushings, lots of settings, and hey, they come in 29"! The crappy Marz Marathon I have would have costed me ¬700 retail as well.
