I just recently began obsessing over bikes as I did when was young. My first real bike was a 1984 redline 800p. Gradually I moved into mountain bikes: Cannondale, Fisher, and Trek. I also have a have a Klein quantum race beautiful bike.

But then 15 years ago I just stopped riding. Currently I sill have the Klein and just stripped the 2000 fisher big sur down. I also have a Ritchey Swiss cross frame brand new.

I would like like a single speed.

Build up up the Swiss cross or buy a new hard tail with the capability of being both geared and ss.

Looking forward to cycling again and being a member of this forum.

Build the swiss cross, don't let the frame go to waste. Or you could probably sell it to help fund a new hardtail. Do you intend to race 'cross?

No I don’t really want to build it as a single speed. Looking more at it from a fitness standpoint.
