I built the LHT up to commute to work, it's about 15 miles to work so I wanted something bombproof etc.

Also will be used for general road duties in maintaining fitness for the main activity of mountain biking.

Planning a week long tour for the summer holidays also. Rides very well, just can't seem to stop the front brake from squealing though.

I assume you have the pads toed in? It usually works for me.

Yep, front brake pads are toed in.

Might try and rub them down with an abrasive pad to rough the surface up a little.

Other than that the bike works a dream.
