I just built up a new JET 9 in 1 x 9 trim (posted on the 29er forum)

http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=508147

As someone pointed out, my current bashring is just a wee bit small. Anyone have a suggestion for a light bashring that will provide better coverage for the lower linkage?

http://www.bbgbashguard.com/custom.html perhaps?
I'm ordering one today, 104mm 38T...
Cheap certainly.

Edit: you need at least a 38T BG to cover the linkage. I've seen pix of other 1x9's running Gamut BG's

Dunno if that is the correct one, also don't know weights. I have ordered erinbbg guards before, they are machined aluminum, really show at your door (in hand-labelled cardboard) for $16, have good tolerances and really work.

Those posted below are a great deal and ano colors! Here is what a FSA 42 tooth and about 15 minutes with the teeth zipped off looks like.

Nice job on the bashguard, Brett. I was thinking of doing the same thing with a spare RF ring I have.....may have to try that if the new one I just ordered doesn't fit the bill.

By the way - kudos to you guys on the JET9. I've loved every Niner frame I've owned (4 so far) but this one is my favorite.
