Not shure if this is the right place to ask or if it has been asked before. I want to fit a tapered fork to a straight head tube. I've checked out Cane Creek, Hope and other sites but they only have bottom races to fit straight steerers into tapered head tubes. Any one done it, where can I buy the necessary parts? Thanks in advance.

Cane-Creek makes a headset that will allow you to do this, but it requires a 44mm integrated headset. By using the Cane-Creek, it will change the geometry slightly (more slack) because the lower bearings will sit below the head tube instead of inside the head tube. This will also reduce the amount of ssteer tube sticking to which you can clamp the stem on top of the head tube.
