My new Pivot Trail 429 came with the new design Fox transfer. It doesn't seem as smooth as the older design and requires more weight to lower it.

Yes, I've checked the seat clamp torque (5-6 Nm).

Is this just me or is this a known issue and what is the fix?

On the plus side, the dropper lever seems vastly improved. So much I didn't need to immediately exchange for a PNW Loam lever.

Thank you,

Had a new Performance Elite and the old style Performance Elite. Both of them needed a fair bit of weight to get moving once the lever was pushed. Don't know if there is a solution other than swapping for something with a lighter action like a Bikeyoke Revive/Divine
