Im new to the sport therefore ignorant and im low on cash. Recently the seals on My rock shocks Pilot xc blew. Trek bike shop estimated about $100 to repair, with labor. The fork brand new isnt a whole lot more than $100. I need a deal on a replacement. I would like a fork thats better than the Pilot. So far the best deal ive found is a Manitou black elite for 198$ out the door at super go. Is this a good price? Is the black elite a good fork? Does anyone know of a good deal happening somewhere?

if its 2003 then i wouldnt go for it.. RA probs. if its 2004 then its good deal i think

Get the Black Elite, it is a great fork for $200. BTW, the 2003 Blacks DID NOT have problems with the reverse arch. It was limited to the 2003 Skarebs..

ive seen many broken 2003 Blacks on RA. i broke my 2003 Axel on RA.. coincidence? maybe. maybe not. besides Answer admited that 2003 model HAVE problems with RA. 2004 ones are fixed
