New Fork and New Frame Help

I need your help!

I just sold my Blur Classic and Fox Float 100RLC to a friend. Now, I am torn. Do I want a Blur LT or Nomad?

I am leaning toward the Blur LT, but I am not sure which fork to put on it. I have it narrowed (Right....) down to Fox: Float 130 RLC, Vanilla 130 RLC, Talas 130 RLC, or Float 130 XTT.

I ride mainly XC type stuff (Wilder, Grey Whale, UCSC, SDF, Nisene).

Thanks!

You should try and test ride the Nomad and the Blur LT if you can. I recently took both bikes out for a spin, and they're very different rides. I'm more of an XC rider as well, and after much deliberation, I think the Blur LT is going to be the way to go for me. I'm still going to go back and give the Nomad another shot because the rear shock wasn't dialed in at all, and it kind of scared me away being more of an XC rider, but my gut feeling is that the Blur LT will make a fine long travel XC bike.

The Blur LT that I test rode had a Vanilla RLC fork on it, and it left a good impression on me. It was very plush and smooth through it's travel. I'd still like to take a Float XTT out and see how well the trail tune works, but the Vanilla seemed like a really nice fork.
I have a new BLT with a Vanilla 130 rlc and i chose this model because it's frame angles on the SC website are based on this height of fork and for 90% of my riding this fork is enough- the Nomad needs a taller fork- do you think you do?
As an all-round trail bike the BLT is gonna take some beating and i love it after only a couple of rides- it's plush yet pedals like a hardtail, i don't know how they've done it!
I would stay away from the 130 XTT, a buddy had one on his and it started spitting oil the third ride. I have heard about previous issues with the fork, so you might want to look into a PUSHed fork.

They sell PUSHed forks already modified, or shall I say pushed, and they are killer forks.!

I suggest to put a Fox Talas 130 RLC, not because I 'm experienced with it, but because you can arrange the fork lenght and I can assure you that the BLT also with 100 fork lenght for aggressive xc is fantastic ! After you still have the possibility to switch to 130.

Thanks guys.

Well, I thought I may be stuck with a powdercoat grey Blur LT frame. But, after a couple calls to my favorite local shop yesterday...they are trying hard to get me the Ano black!

They have a 130 Float RLC in stock and have had it in stock for a little. So, they are willing to cut me a deal for both frame and fork. But,m they haven't given me a price yet.

So, I am still torn between forks.

Thanks for the opinions!

I rented a BLT up in Tahoe for a weekend this past summer and it had the Talas 130 RLC on it and it was pure pleasure. Its a seriously nice setup.

I loved riding the BLT so much I'm buying a Nomad! :p

Sorry to confuse the issue.

Alright, to all those who replied to this thread....THANKS!

Anyway, I did it! I ordered the Ano Black Blur LT today. They already had the Chris King headset and Fox Float 130 RLC in stock. They called Santa Cruz and locked in my Frame. They are going to pick it up Monday morning. I should have it to me by Wednesday. Oh, it's going to be a very long work week now. I can't wait. The owner of the shop let me rides his Ano BLT through the parking lot. It, essentially, has all of the same components I already have from my Blur Classic for the switch over. SWEET!

Thanks again.
