Anyone running a fox 34 with 44 offset on their V3? I have a frame on the way and that is the fork I currently have. It seems like the bike was designed for different offsets?
Haven't tried on a Following (maybe getting one this summer), but I switched offsets on my Patrol when I changed forks. Slight difference, but not that much. I found adding or subtracting a 5mm spacer to have a more noticeable impact. Offset has been over-hyped a wee bit.

I'm hesitantly leaning towards selling a medium Following V3 that I think can fairly be described as my dream build. Only reason being raising capital and it's my bike with the most worth and plenty of overlap with other bikes in my stable. It has one season of light use.
Unless I get cold feet and change my mind listing would be going on PB in a week or two but would be happy to share pics and details with anyone here if they are interested.

it is always tough to let good bikes go. I’ve had a couple I wouldn’t mind back.

So I installed a -1 evil angleset and put my bb in the high(low) position. This fixes the slack seat angle and even make the bike more poppy. The HA is 66 and STA is 76. The bike is about perfect now and I dont I will be messing with it anymore.

Thanks for the info. Did you notice any noticeable change to bb height/pedal strikes?

Looks like most folks on here have gone with a -1 angleset. Anyone run -1.5 and have a before and after review? If you run the bike in Low (high) with a -1.5 angleset it looks like really good numbers…65.7 degree heat tube angle, 76.3 deg seat tube angle…..

The geo is perfect with the -1 and low bb height. I would like to try the -1.5 for STA change but it is really good right now. The -1 on the offering I installed in the higher bb gets it to 76.6 which is good as well but with the difference in sag it is close to the following. The sag is important to factor into STA.

Question. How often do you guys have your forks and shocks serviced? My local shop is holding the party line that is the manufacturers’ line, every 50 hours. When I asked what the real answer was, they said annually. I have been biking with suspension since it came on the market and I have never serviced one of them. I guess I’ve been lucky. I have known of these service intervals for years and have ignored them. I’m looking to do it but wondering about a reasonable interval. I‘ve got about 1800 miles on the V3. Thanks.

I do lowers and shock seal service at 6 month mark and full service annually. You definitely can tell a difference afterwards.

Personally I think it all depends on how much your ride or if you have multiple bikes that you ride. I have 3 now since I picked up my following. Right now I am riding it more often, but will start cycling them through a rotation.

i9 Hydra hub durability? I took the V3 into the LBS to install the Works -1. I asked them to look the bike over and call me if they saw anything that needed attention. When I picked the bike up, they told me the front and rear bearings were replaced (1.5 season;1800 miles). They didn't call me first. Poor style. They said it was a common amount of miles for replacement. I was floored. I've never experienced or heard of any bearings having such a short life span. They charged $68 for the bearings and $70 for labor. I called i9 and was told they get about 2 seasons out of the Enduro bearings. The retail price for bearings is $60 and they charge about $30 for labor. I'm looking for a new shop. How long are you all getting out of these apparently sub-par bearings?

1800 miles is a pretty good amount. Wear can vary depending on how used, are you a hard masher or easy spin cadence? Ride in sandy wet environments? I9 may have a cheaper labor rate because they are not a bike shop. My Local shop where I just bought my Following from shut their doors yesterday. I helped him move furniture out and then today helped him deliver the rest of his misc stock to the other local bike shop. So keep that in mind about this shop you were at. Right now, the only way to stay open is to make it on labor and what bikes and parts they can get.

My rear bearings actually went out around 50 miles. I9 sent me the bearings and all tools required to change them at no charge. New ones have been good for over 400 miles so far now.
