Anyone seen these on the Sun Ringle rim website? Look at the listing for the DS2 rim. Looks like a 700c version of their DS1 XC rim. Does anyone have any info or feedback on these.

Hard to read the specs, even blown up...23.4mm wide?
460g, I wonder how close they can get to that...would be competitive with the Velocity VXC, but Sun seems to be more affordable over the whole?

They claim the Rhyno Lite at 590g, mine were over 600g for sure. Then, my Velocity Dyads were 540g rather then 480g.

Someone get these rims and tell us all about it!

granted, these were the 26-inch versions, but...

i built up a 26-inch wheelset early in '05 using sun ds-1 rims, and overall was somewhat disappointed with how 'soft' the rims were. they built-up nicely, but as soon as i started riding them hard during a trip to fruita in march, they began a slow downward spiral. by the end of the season, the tension imbalance required to keep them acceptably true and round was too much for me to accept. i unlaced them and used the hubs to build up a new 29er wheelset using salsa delgado x rims (very good rims, in my limited experience).

i've also found the mavic a719 to be an awesome (if a bit heavy) rim choice. talk about a solid wheel build!! those double eyelets aren't letting anything pull the nipple out of the spoke bed!
