As seen on www.angryasian.com
Sounds like Avid might be working on a new superlight, XC-specific hydraulic disc brake. The current Juicy 7 has largely been accepted as one of the best performing disc brakes currently on the market, but even the Carbon version isn't all that light so it wouldn't be surprising if Avid trimmed some fat from the system or even came up with something completely new. It's unclear whether this is supposed to be a '06 or '07 introduction, but if these rumors are true, Magura may have a buddy atop the ultralight hydraulic disc brake podium. Details are slim to none, but I wouldn't be too surprised to see a XC-specific 140mm rotor out back.
Would make sense since I have seen Juicy's on closeout all over the place. Will be intresting to see if they can beat out the Marta SL's

VAGUE...... but wouldnt surprise me, trim some fat, ti bolts, 140 rear rotor, you could have a light brake.
