it's just another high-single-pivot 'chainstay' design, with a linkage-driven shock. here i'm using the term chainstays rather than seat stays to help make the point clearer.

the linkage in this case is below the 'chainstays', which lowers the center of gravity.

Not sure... It also has a concentric rear axle and a short link close to the bottom bracket. The near rear axle concept eliminates brake jack. The short link might allow for dynamic rear shock ratios.

Is it really a plain-old single pivot? Seem to me that linkage would have quite an affect of the travel path of the rear axle - just curious

axle path is same as a single pivot.

Shock is actuated by the chain stay, it pulls on a link that compresses the shock.

Brake is connected to the chain stay to have more control over braking forces, exactly what this frame does under braking I don't know.

The design incorporates the splitpivot ie, rear axle is the pivot for the chain stay as well.

It definitly looks like a single pivot. Really similar to sunns linkage
I second that, it looks like a burlier and better design of the Radical to me (thinking of the longer eylet thingy the Sunn requires, which isn't very pratical), while I don't doubt that the split pivot will make them quite different.

All and all, glad to see Devinci stepping it up and trying something new.
