the news here is 'allows XP-G performance in a 50% smaller package'.

slightly less flood than XP-G so might be better optically in a bike light

near identical power and lumens as XP-G, it's the smaller die that is the big deal

I wonder when we will find out if it works well with xp series optics?

I have a light that uses 6 10mm carclo square optics. A little more throw would be great.

Looking at the carclo data sheet The xbd is one of the most efficient on the data sheet and it throws well.

If its reasonably similar the rather small XBD then it will be a huge performance increase over the current xp-g I am using. Both in lumens per watt and optical efficiency.

So far cutter only has one option for a pcb

I need a 10mm round or square pcb.

This could be a great 20mm triple board option.

In the better bins xb-h makes a few more lumens over xpg-2

Also like the low price of these.
