I've got a '10 Epic, had it a few years, alloy fame, my first modern full susp.bike.
I like it, but think it might be a little too "racy" for me. Too firm and quick steering.
I have a chance to buy a new Camber Evo at a very good price.
Won't have a chance to try before I commit to it though.
So I guess I'm asking how much difference is there between the two bikes?
I'm hoping for a softer ride, without much pedal bob.
I don't do any jumping or downhill type riding, all trails, and love singletrack stuff.

The Camber would certainly feel plusher, so I think your goal in that respect is certainly met.

I'd anticipate you'd notice some weight difference on climbs with the Camber (bit heavier), and while the days of massive pedal bob on FSRs is behind us, it probably would feel looser than the Epic, assuming your brain was working correctly.

Would be great if you could keep both. ;)

Camber Evo. Especially if you aren't racing. Great bike, I have a 2013 reg Camber and my mate on his Epic loves my bike so much he keeps offering to buy it, so from what I've heard the Evo is so much better esp for Trail riding

Even though the Camber Evo was offered to me at an outstanding price, I ended up buying a one season old Stumpjumper Comp 29 FSR. 130mm travel, front and rear.
Only one ride on it so far, still tinkering with setup, but I really like it.
I can't wait for my next ride!
