Did anyone else notice in the new Dirt Rag that the writeup of the Fisher 29er single speed mentioned that it would include a new incarnation of the Bontrager 3 piece fork? 3 piece was their phrasing, not mine.

It was in the little paid product placement page.

God knows I am interested.

Cheers

Rumor has it that 29" Type II forks might be available on a custom order basis. More info as it becomes available.

Hmmm...very dissapointing. I was hoping for ones similar to the origionals.

Good point about the type II. I keep hearing that Steve is going to start up on those again. I also keep hearing that the Fat Big One is coming back. I'll take a type II if those are the choices.

Steve told me a few months ago that a 29" type II would be no problem. As to when he could actually get to doing it Im not sure.
Wes William from Willits is doing Type II rigids for 29"ers. Slighty different dropout/end of leg details from the original Potts/Cunningham Type II, but the crownassy remains to be build by Steve P. Wes solders the legs into that crown to make it a Willits Type II.
