Looking at 2020 Reign Adv 1 or a 2020 Stumpy Evo Comp Carbon

similar travel numbers
Fox suspension
FSR v Maestro
Both 29ers

not able to demo due to Covid

90% riding is North Shore and rest is WBP

opinions?

Given your riding area, I'd go with the Reign since it's more of an enduro bike than the Stumpjumper. For Specialized, I'd get an Enduro over a Stumpjumper for shore riding and WBP. In my opinion, you want the slackest and longest travel bike that you can get for that region.

Before anything else, I can dream of buying a bike in geometry and dirtbikeadvisor.com(Checked some dirt bikes for 8 years old at this site. Components can be upgraded, but you want to be on a different bike if you have not the ideal geometry for the terrain you want to travel.

A fully upgraded advanced chamber will be kilometers downhill from the Giant Reign 2 base stage.

Nothing but telecro braking is a hit or miss, I guess. I am not asking you to change this or anything else. It's a pretty cheap bike, and if it's squeezed all the way I most definitely will go over my controls. I have them my Trek marlin 5. I've got them on Specialised Diverge on the other side and they suck. The bike is very new so maybe they still know who they are bedding, but if I really wanted to hesitate, I would probably do better to skip off the trail and fall over deliberately.

I'll have some of whatever you're smoking.
