Did anyone in the U.S. purchase a complete bike from Chain reaction Cycles?
They have a few good prices even with shipping.
I have purchased a few things from them in the past that arrived damaged.
A Fox fork I purchased was just placed in a cardboard box with
no packing. Crazy? Of course it arrived damaged.
I know OEM bikes are packaged pretty good, but its a long trip
to the U.S.
I just don't want to receive a damaged bike.
Your experiences/input/opinion appreciated.
Thanks

I ordered the Nail Trail 6. After many years of service and abusive neglect. My Santa Cruz Blur LT (2007) finally died (broke the front triangle this time) Decided to go back to basics and try a hardtail again (it's been about 15-ish years)

if the bike cannot survive a 2 day trip in a box, then it will likely fail miserably on the trails. no?? different story if you are saying they sent you items that were damaged to begin with? i just received a Marin from CR. no issues with packaging. bike is heavy as f*** though:(

Ralight5,
They sent me a fox oem fork just in a box with no packing
material to keep it from shifting around. It came damaged.
Which Marin did you get? Did it come in one box or two?
Enjoy your new ride.

i got the rift zone 2. came in 1 box.....adequately packed...but also, mostly assembled. took me maybe 1 hour to get it set up to ride. rode it 4 miles to the trails and only maybe 2 miles on fire roads today...mostly due to the heat and the ever present goathead thorns that will easily puncture a tube. but i was absolutely impressed. the weight was not a factor....i see good things ahead:) best of luck to you.

Good to hear. There is a guy from Arkansas who posted a few video's on You tube about
his Marin rift zone 2. He had nothing but praise for the bike. Said he set his wheels up
tubeless with the stock wheels and tires.
How long did it take to receive the bike?
