I finally picked up a decent bike and got a chance to get out riding with the camera. These trails aren't exactly my backyard, but the trailhead is less than 2 miles from my house. I've just been spending the past couple weeks exploring all of the different options and trails. Anyone here from western PA might recognize it as Roaring Run in Apollo. Sorry no action shots and quality is weak, my buddy backed out at the last minute and I don't like to take the SLR out when it's just me.
New bike stoke. GF Sugar 4+. It's an 03 but I got it brand new as a leftover for a pretty sweet price. It's my first nice bike, anything to watch out for on these?
Most of the trails start like this with some climbing
Which leads to this
And this
And down this, which is a lot steeper than it looks in the picture
And then over some stuff like this
And this
Then it opens up into this
And this
Then tightens back up
And more of this
And this
And finally a place to cool down at the end
If any guys of you are going to be riding here and need someone to go, let me know. I'm getting to know my way around pretty well and I can literally be there in 5 minutes, I try to ride it at least a couple times a week after work.
